Nitro-Springs Piped Systems

Nitro-Springs can be piped to a control panel or manifold to create an adjustable pressure system. The control panel can be mounted on the outside of the tool giving the flexibility to monitor and adjust the gas pressure whilst the tool is in the press and running.

Key advantages:

• Pressure of the system can be monitored during operation.

• Should there be any leakage of gas from the springs it can quickly be identified by reading the pressure gauge.

• System pressure can be adjusted whilst the tool is in the press.

• Dismantling of the die not necessary to adjust pressure or check gas spring pressures.

For Nitro-Spring piped systems, we use the latest Kevlar hoses which are flexible and durable allowing gas springs to be piped into restricted space dies. The pipe system uses the CNOMO style fittings with one way valve adaptors which are more resistant to leakages than standard systems and also have the flexibility to remove piping with venting the gas from the system.


Metrol Springs offer an on-site piping service for the UK or alternatively we can ship our gas springs pre-mounted on a wooden board laid out to your tool drawings and ready for installation upon delivery.


The tough thermoplastic pipe and wear-resistant outer case has shown many times that this combination in hot/cold cycling conditions out performs ordinary rubber hose.
