NitroSprings are the next generation in spring technology for industrial applications, providing a number of significant advantages over the traditional methods of generating spring force. NitroSprings are ideal replacements for Belville Washer or disc spring stacks, wire springs (both compressions and tension), die springs, urethane springs, hydraulic and pneumatic spring cylinders.

Force

Compared to other spring products, NitroSpring provide a much higher force in a more compact package. Reducing the space required for the spring element.

Depending on the spring type, NitroSprings have a force to size advantage over wire or coil springs, die springs, and disc springs. 

NitroSprings provide a unique advantage over other spring products, no-load is required to reach a high force, it is generated on contact. The rating of the NitroSpring is the force required to compress (or extend) the spring.

The force that the NitroSpring generates can easily be adjusted both up and down. This can be done by the customer and whilst on the application.

NitroSprings have the ability to provide exactly the same force across a number of spring units. By linking the NitroSprings in series, every spring has the same exact same force.

  • Unique ability to ensure that all springs in the series produce exactly the same force.
  • Force can also be adjusted from a single point for all the springs in series.
  • Vital when consistent force is required across multiple spring units.

NitroSprings have the advantage that the force can be monitored constantly, either hard wired or remotely. Essential when a specific force is critical to the application.

The force curves generated by a NitroSpring can vary from 10 to 500%. They can also be manipulated to suit the application, often within the same dimensional package.

Long travel required, no problem.

NitroSprings have a stroke range from 5mm to 2000mm, if you require a spring with a long travel, then NitroSprings off the ideal solution. Long travel gas springs fall into the CE marking category and product must conform to PED 68/2014/EU.

Life

NitroSprings are designed to perform, even in the most demanding environments. Our gas springs are bench marked to 1 million cycles during testing.

We regularly undertake in house and field testing for gas spring durability and longevity.

The NitroSpring solution offers the ability to overhaul your spring by replacing key sealing elements and components, so that the spring unit is as good as new. The overhaul process can be carried out on site by trained staff or back at a local Metrol facility.
