Our range of latches includes:
- Compression
These work with a trigger release mechanism and cause a compressive force to prevent rattling and reduce wear. - Lever
One of the most widely used latches on internal doors, these latches work by securing to the opposite side of the door. Pulling the lever releases the latch, allowing the door to open. At Metrol, we have non-locking, key locking and classic styles available. - Over Centre Draw
Metrol offers these secure yet easy to install latches. They work by securing to a fixing on the opening side of the door. Opening either requires a pushing or pulling action, depending on your needs. - Slam
These function by a spring system that enables enough force to close the door when slammed. Once closed, a small spring then secures the latch hook in place. To open, simply pull the handle to release the door. They are very wear-resistant and easy to open and shut, useful for doors or panels in regular use. - Push to Close
These operate on a similar mechanism to slam latches but are slightly smaller and better suited to smaller panels. They have a slam to close action and a push to open mechanism. These are available with or without locks. - Paddle
Usually required for storage panels, these are recessed into the door and released when pulling the handle. - Rotary
Commonly used in vehicles and gates, these latches work by slamming a door with a striker bolt which secures and locks the door in place. - Stainless Steel
Many latches are available in stainless steel. As one of the most hardwearing and durable materials found in access hardware, they are well suited to outdoor use and high-demand environments.
