Threaded Insert FAQs

What are threaded inserts?

Threaded inserts are used in damaged screw holes to fix applications. By placing the insert inside threaded screws, you can have a component that is as good as new again, without having to replace it.

Simply screw the key locking insert into the hole and knock down the tabs. You do not need a drill, or any specialised tools to install our inserts.

Our inserts can be used in applications made from a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, hardwood, and more.

All of Metrol’s inserts are manufactured from stainless steel 1.4305/AISI 303.

Instead of having to replace individual components, simply use a threaded insert to make the screw hole as good as new again.
